ACCOMMODATION

ACCOMMODATION & HOUSING IN FLORENCE

All students will live in apartments in the center of Florence within walking distance from the Institute. All apartments are completely furnished, equipped with a kitchen, bathroom and 2, 3, 4, or 5 bedrooms. While the apartments differ, all have been approved by the housing office staff for cleanliness and safety and conform to the following requirements:

~ They are completely furnished, and provide sheets, blankets, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, television and free use of washing machine.

Once your program application is accepted, you will receive the Housing Form. Please fill out this form and return it to APT in order to book accommodations.

During orientation, the housing staff will give detailed information regarding bills, rental contracts, etc. The staff is available the whole semester to assist in any housing issues. Single room upon request and availability.

 

Transfer costs 2009: from Florence airport Euro 65,00 (price one-way per person).

The housing cost (included in the program fee) includes:
• Rent for the Summer Session.
• Repairs not caused by students’ negligence.
• Utilities (water, gas, electricity) provided the bills are equal to or under the average cost. Any costs above the average bills will be charged to students sharing the apartment, who will then have to share and pay for these costs.

The housing cost does not include:
• € 500 housing security deposit
 

Special 4-Week Combined Summer Program: if you want you can also stay 2 weeks in Florence and 2 weeks in the Elba Island.
